Parents, staff, and students:

Welcome back to another wonderful year as HAST prepares for its 9th year of operation.  This email will be full of a lot of pertinent and useful information.  Please read carefully and thoroughly.
First, we want to introduce our new staff members:
Mr Jay Tunzi, 6th grade Science
Ms Patricia Tuxford, 10th grade Math
Mr Nick Miljevic, 10th grade Science
Ms Meg Doughman, 10th grade English
Ms Lisa Homer, 11/12th grade Math
Ms Olivia Taskoff, Special Education
Ms Monique Foote has moved to 7th grade Science.  Ms Tracy Mis has moved to Middle School Project the Lead the Way (a NEW subject at HAST this year).
Student schedules are available on PowerSchool.  New high school students will need to come to the office first thing on Monday to receive their schedules.  High school students will have the first week of school to make any schedule changes.  No schedule changes after August 17.

We expect students to be in uniform on Monday.  New students will have one week to purchase uniform shirts, if they have not already done so.  Please use our school website to make uniform shirt purchases.  Black or khaki pants are required.  We do have a limited number of uniform items in the office that we can loan students in need.  See Mr Young for those.
Cell phones are not to be used during class time.  Students may use them during passing periods and during lunch periods.  Parents, please do not expect your child to answer a call or a text while they are in class.  If you need to reach a student, and they are in class, please call the front desk, x100.  We will do what we can to get your message to your child. ???? ?????????
If you have not yet paid your iPad insurance, we urge you to do so at your soonest convenience.  Students will not be able to take home the iPad until/unless the insurance has been paid.  Due to the hectic nature of the first few days, we ask that if you want to make payment during that time, that you fill out the form, sign, and submit with cash, check, or money order.  Leave this at the front desk.  We will get it to Mr Small, who will issue your child a receipt.
Open House:  We will host our annual Open House on Wednesday, August 29, from 5 to 7 p.m.  This will be your chance to meet your student’s teachers and learn about the activities, sports, and clubs, and if you need better resources for your kids to learn, you can also find good resources at sites like proofessor.co.uk.
Fall Picture Day:  Tuesday, September 11.  Order forms will be sent home in advance.
Lunch and breakfast will be available as usual.  If you have not already done so, please submit all applications for Free/Reduced Lunch to Mr Small as soon as possible. ????? ?????? ?????
Drop off and dismissal:  Please drive safely and cautiously through our campus.  Remember that traffic moves at a one-way pattern in front of the building from East to West (Hohman to State Line, for example).  Make use of the streets and parking lots in the area to ease congestion.  Most importantly:  Be nice and be patient.
I believe that I have covered as much as possible in preparation for Monday.  We look forward to welcoming all students on Monday morning.  They will all report to their grade level pods upon arrival. bet365 sports
