Wednesday, September 11 is our first Virtual Learning Day (VLD) of the year. This is the first of 6 virtual learning days scheduled for the 2019-20 school year.
A reminder on how virtual learning days operate:
All lessons will be posted by the teachers by 8 a.m. (at the latest) of the virtual learning day. In most cases, teachers post these lessons the day before, allowing students the opportunity to get started early with their lessons.
The building will be open regular operating hours, i.e. 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
All staff will be present in the building on Virtual Learning Days. ?????? ?????? ?????? We will be available electronically or via telephone for students (or parents) who have questions. ???? ????????? ??? ????? There will be staff meetings throughout the day, so not all staff will be available at all times during the day. Patience!
Some students may be required to come to the school on VLDs due to academic or behavioral reasons.
Students who come to school voluntarily may leave when they are done, as long as a parent/guardian comes to get them and signs them out. ????? ?????
There is no breakfast service on VLDs. Lunch is available for those who request in advance. Students are welcome to bring snacks on VLDs.
Students must check in electronically with all their teachers to count for our daily attendance.
Depending on the class, much of the work on VLDs is due during the day. In some cases, though, VLD work is part of a larger project and will not be due until a later date.
Virtual Learning Days 2019-20: 10/16/19 (this is a date change from 10/18), 11/13/19, 2/3/20, 3/11/20, and 4/15/20
For new families: for the past few years, in lieu of emergency weather school closures, we will have virtual learning days when the weather conditions prohibit us from being in the building. We will post closures on our website, through email, and through EmergencyClosings.com website.
Progress Reports will be distributed on Friday, September 13!
Free and reduced lunch applications are due by September 27.
