To All HAST Families:
This email is to remind the HAST student and parent community that there are two parent
representatives on the board of directors of HAST. The current parent representatives are
Nicole Bazan and Jackie Perez.
The role of the parent representative is to help connect the parents in our school community
with the school board. They focus on communication/logistical issues between parents and the
school, concerns or ideas in regard to parent finances with the school, and school improvement
ideas. The parent representatives do not deal with the daily operations of the school. They do
not intervene in parent-teacher disputes or teacher-administration disputes, nor do they monitor
the performance of teachers or the administrative team. For guidance and inquiries relating to
academic information and discipline policies, please refer to the HAST student handbook, a
copy of which is available on the HAST website.
