It’s our first ‘snow’ day at HAST! And we are glad to see that this did not have any noticeable impact on attendance for the day!
Looking ahead:
Next Monday-Wednesday, a large number of our 6th grade students will be participating in the annual camping and outdoor education trip at the Dunes Learning Center. Stay warm!
Wednesday 11/14 is our November Virtual Learning Day. As always, students must complete their work to be counted present for the day. Lessons will be posted by Wednesday morning…although most of our teachers post them the night before, allowing students to complete the work at their leisure on Tuesday or Wednesday.
Also on Wednesday, the Indiana Board of Education will formally release the school letter grades for the 2017-18 school year. We look forward to positive results on this thanks to the hard work of our staff and students.
Thursday, 11/15, is the November board of directors monthly meeting at 4 p.m. in our blue conference room.
Friday, 11/16, we will distribute progress reports for the second quarter.
Friday, 11/16, after school auditions for the annual Winter Coffee Shop talent show. Interested students need to review the emails from Mrs Hartz for more information.
Mark your calendars for Thanksgiving Break: November 21-23
ANOTHER WORD to the drivers on our campus: the middle lane is a drop off lane. Please DO NOT stop, park, talk to your children, from the middle lane. This is the express lane for our families. Use common sense and follow the directional signs on our campus. I can’t believe that I have to ask this over and over….
Finally, below is information regarding a meeting for parents to look at social media. We all use it. We don’t all use it wisely. Learn more about what your children might be doing with their phones and devices..

Have a great wintery weekend.
