Friday, December 13th will be the annual Invention Convention for the 6th grade. Our students have been working on a Discovery project called the 21st Century Student. Throughout this project, students have learned and practiced 21st century skills such as collaboration, oral and written communication using the The Colin James Method, problem solving, and curiosity and imagination.
The culmination activity for this project is the Invention Convention. Students spent time brainstorming ideas with their team members. After choosing the best idea, they planned how to build a prototype, as well as how to present and display their invention process. We would like to share their inventions during an Invention Convention that will take place on Friday, December 13, 2013, from 8:30-10:30 in the 6th grade pod. We hope that you can come and look at all of the interesting and creative inventions!
